Athlete of the Month – Molly Chazen

Congratulations Molly on being selected as The Chatham Club, Athlete of the Month for June!

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

1.) My name is Molly Chazen! I am a junior at Chatham High School. I play midfield for Chatham Field Hockey and New Heights. I am committed to play at Colgate University!

2.) My favorite thing about playing field hockey is my teammates for both high school and club! We have such a tight-knit community and always push each other to be better and work harder.

3.) I have been training with Robbie since 8th grade (4 years)!

4.) I enjoy training at TCC with Robbie because he always pushes me to be better both physically and mentally. He has high expectations but always helps me reach my goals. Through this I have grown much stronger and more confident, making me a better athlete!

5). My favorite exercise is sumo deadlifts because they really push me to my limit. I have noticed myself get so much stronger while doing sumo deadlifts and they also translate to explosiveness and power on the field!

6.) My least favorite exercise is the 100 pushups at the end of my workout! They are really rough after a long arm day!

7.) I have seen significant improvements in strength through new PR’s often. This has translated directly to agility and endurance during field hockey. In practice and games I feel very well conditioned and much more confident due to my training!

8.) My goal for this year is to contribute to winning the Morris County Tournament and State Tournament for Chatham High School!

9.) My favorite quote is: “There may be people that have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do”. – Derek Jeter. I really like this quote because it is a reminder that hard work will always beat talent!
