Trainer Michael Reynolds has been working with his clients on several back strengthening exercises and we thought we’d share them with you all here! Let us know if you give them a try!
(1) H.S. Deadlift
• Feet shoulder width apart
• Back straight
• Head up
• Squeeze the shoulder blades
(2) Reverse Grip Pulldown
• Lock yourself in
• Grab the straight part of the bar
• Slightly lean back
• Keeping elbows close to the body, pull down
(3) Back extension/Hyperextension
• Adjust seat to your height and waist
• Arms cross the chest
• Lower your body down
• Swing back up
(4) TRX Rows
• Slightly leaning back
• Keeping the arms/elbows close to the body, pull forward
