Squash Exhibition Sam Scherl vs. Joe O’Connor

Please join us for an evening of fun squash-if you’re a current player or are thinking of taking up this great game you’re in for a great performance as two former Chatham Squash Alumni and current players at Harvard and MIT will battle it out on court in what is guaranteed to be an entertaining and energetic match!
Sam Scherl is a current player for the Harvard team, a past National Champion and US Squash World team player will take on another former Chatham Junior Joe O’Connor. Sam is in his second year at Harvard on a winning team with two back to back national championships. Joe plays in the #1 position for MIT-in his freshman year he was 11-1 an incredible result for a freshman in the #1 position. Joe has been ranked as high as #3 in the country as a junior.

For those of you who may not know, StreetSquash offers year-round, comprehensive programming for public school students in Harlem and Newark. Serving over 400 participants between both communities, StreetSquash offers academic tutoring, squash instruction, college preparation, counseling, and alumni support for students from 6th grade through age 24. At StreetSquash:
- 100% of participants graduate from high school
- 98% of participants matriculate to a post-secondary program
- 70% of participants complete a post-secondary program, more than 4x the national average of students in the same demographic
