Members of the Month – Andy and Cali Yost

We’re thrilled to announce our August Members of the Month — Andy and Cali Yost!

Cali became part of The Chatham Club family in July 2006, initially joining to participate in our spin classes. Since then, her fitness journey has evolved to encompass every aspect of wellness. She’s grown tremendously in strength, agility, and overall fitness, and describes feeling more connected to her physical self than ever before. Cali truly feels like a transformed version of herself — an evolved and empowered gym-goer.

Inspired by Cali’s enthusiasm and ready to improve his own fitness, Andy joined the club in June 2008. His journey began with spinning, gradually expanded to weight training, and now includes core and golf-specific movements. He, too, speaks of a complete fitness evolution and credits the club for helping him build a well-rounded routine.

Their dedication, growth, and enthusiasm for fitness are inspiring to all of us.

Let’s hear more about their experience at The Chatham Club!

What do you like most about the club?

Andy – I love the personal feeling of the club.  The size of the club is healthy but not overwhelming.  Everyone is welcoming.

Cali – I love the friendly atmosphere.  It has a very positive feeling.  We also love the spin instructors.

What do you like most about Personal Training?

Andy – We’ve both been training with Brett for over 2 years now.  The sessions have been great.  The programs are well thought out and put together.  He comes ready with a plan.  He is a good listener and can adjust when ailments arise.

Cali – I appreciate his thoughtfulness and care.  He has helped me make a seamless transition from physical therapy to personal training.  He has built a foundation and tailors all the workouts to my needs.

What are some of your favorite exercises?

Andy – I enjoy backwards walking on the treadmill.  It has helped my knees feel healthier.  I love the variety of all the exercises here.

Cali – As far favorites and least favorites, I’m neutral on them all.  My philosophy is to just do them.

What are some your least favorite exercises?

Andy – I’ll go with the Alligator crawl and any TRX exercises.

What do you enjoy doing outside of the club?

We both enjoy spending time together!  We also love to spend time with our kids and friends.  We like to travel, cook, and golf as well. 

Any future goals?

Cali – Stay happy and healthy!  Also to keep continuing to add to my strength.

Andy – Keep working on my core strength and mobility.  Stay injury free!
