Congratulations Tom on being selected as The Chatham Club, Member of the Month for April! Tom is approaching eight years as a member at The Chatham Club, and he’s become a familiar face around the gym. Whether he’s training with Ryan, one of our personal trainers, or getting in a workout on his own, Tom consistently shows up ready to put in the work. He was first introduced to the club by his wife, Kathy, and since then, the two of them have remained dedicated to their fitness journey—showing up regularly and continuing to improve their physical health together.
What accomplishments/changes have you made since joining The Chatham Club?
I have been able to increase my strength and endurance. Ryan has set new programs and goals for me on a timely basis which keeps my workouts challenging and interesting.
What do you like about the club?
From the minute that you walk through the door, there is a smiling person saying good morning. The interaction between all the staff and members makes The Chatham Club a very special place.
What do you like about the personal training the club offers?
Working with Ryan since day one has not only been a challenge but also a pleasure. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with Brett and Eric during the 8 years. The trainers are all happy to cover for each other when the need arises.
What are your favorite exercises?
I enjoy working in the weight room and the leg press apparatus.
What are your least favorite exercises?
My least favorite exercise is working on the rowing machine. Other than that, I enjoy all of Ryan’s programs.
What do you like to do outside of the club?
Outside of the Club I enjoy golf. It is my favorite activity; I enjoy the challenge of the game. I also like to travel and meet new and interesting people.
Do you have any upcoming goals that you’re currently focusing on?
My new goal is to work with Ryan using some of Doug’s programs to improve my flexibility and balance for my golf game.
