We’re thrilled to announce our November Athlete of the Month – McKenna Dwyer!
Check out her full interview below:
What sport and position do you play?
I play Midfield in both Field Hockey and Lacrosse at Williams College
What do you enjoy about playing two college sports?
My favorite thing about Williams is the people. So cheesy but my teammates are the best and provide such a fun competitive environment!!
How long have you been training with Michael at The Chatham Club?
I have been training with Mike for 2 years.
What do you like about training with Michael?
There is always such fun energy in the gym! Michael is always positive and uplifting and encourages me to lift more weight!
What is your favorite exercise?
My favorite exercises would be any core work we do. Mostly the 200 rep abs circuit we do at the end.
What is your least favorite exercise?
My least favorite exercise is Glute/Hamstring raises because my hamstrings always cramp up!
How has training at The Chatham Club helped your game?
I definitely have seen improvements in my strength, agility and confidence in training. This directly translated to better performance on the field in both sports and has kept me stay strong and healthy!
What do you want to focus on next with Michael?
I would like to work on a quick first step!
Can you share a quote or phrase that keeps you motivated?
My coach instilled this habit into me, and every morning I remind myself, “Today is going to be a great day” and “Be grateful”. When things get tough, these reminders put everything into perspective and I approach each day with gratitude and a positive mindset.
