Jane Middleton, a midfielder for Cal lacrosse, has been putting in the work both on and off the field. With over two years of training with Robbie, she’s seen major improvements in her strength, agility, speed, and confidence—all key to her game. Jane loves the family bond of her team and thrives in an environment where she’s pushed to be her best every day. Read on to learn more about her training, favorite (and least favorite!) exercises, and her goals for the season!
What sport do you play? Where? What position?
I play lacrosse at Cal and I’m a midfielder.
What is your favorite thing about your team, sport or school?
My favorite thing about Cal lacrosse is that all my teammates have become family and we get to compete for each other every day.
Why do you enjoy training with Robbie? How long have you trained with him?
I enjoy training with Robbie because he pushes me to be my best and strive for higher goals. Robbie cares for everyone he works with and creates an environment that makes me excited to work when I get in. I’ve been training with Robbie for around two and a half years!
What are your favorite exercises?
My favorite exercises are back squats and sumo deadlifts.
What are your least favorite exercises?
My least favorite exercises are Bulgarian squats and box jumps.
Have you seen any improvements in strength/agility/speed thanks to your training?
I have seen significant improvement to my strength, agility, speed and confidence since training with Robbie. He helps me target what I want and need to work on to improve my performance on the lacrosse field and pushes me hard every day.
What are some of your upcoming goals?
My goals for this year are to continue improving my strength, explosiveness and speed on the field overall and with change of direction.
