Our Athlete of the Month for August is Grace Hallahan.
Congratulations to Grace Hallahan, who just graduated from Chatham High School and is heading to the University of Richmond to play lacrosse this fall! Her favorite position is midfield, and she loved being part of a team where the competition was real—but so was the fun and the strong friendships she built along the way.
Grace has been training with Robbie for close to one year, and she gives him a lot of credit for helping her level up. “He pushes me to be my best and helps me improve my mindset and physical ability by a significant amount. The environment he creates makes me actually look forward to training sessions.”
One quote that keeps her motivated comes from Michael Jordan:
“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.”
For Grace, it’s a reminder that nothing great comes easy—you have to put in the work.
1) What sport do you play, what position, and for what team?
I played lacrosse at Chatham High School and am a rising freshman at the University of Richmond! I play midfield.
2) What is your favorite thing about playing a sport for your school?
My favorite part of playing at Chatham was the competitive atmosphere. We pushed each other every day, but we also had so much fun and built friendships that will last a lifetime.
3) How long have you been training with Robbie?
I’ve been training with Robbie for almost a year now!
4) Why do you enjoy training at TCC with Robbie?
I love training with Robbie because he constantly pushes me to be my best. Since working with him, I’ve grown so much both physically and mentally. The environment he creates at The Chatham Club is something I genuinely look forward to every time I come in.
5) What are your favorite exercises and why?
My favorite exercise is band box squats. They’ve really helped me increase my leg strength and speed, and it’s been so rewarding to see my progress since starting them from day one.
6) What is your least favorite exercise and why?
Manual leg curls and the power runner—definitely my least favorite! They burn so badly and are super challenging, but I know they’re helping me get better.
7) Have you seen any improvements in your strength, agility, speed, and confidence?
Absolutely. I’ve seen major improvements in all areas—strength, speed, agility, and especially confidence. It’s made a huge difference in how I play and how I carry myself on the field.
8) What are your goals for this year?
My goals this year are to continue building my strength and speed, improve my mindset around lifting, and finally conquer push-ups!
Thanks Grace! Keep up the great work!
