Congratulations Paul on being selected as The Chatham Club, Athlete of the Month for March! Tell us a little bit about yourself…
). What is your name, what grade are you in, what school, what sport do you play, and what position?
My name is Paul Kuppenheimer and I am a senior defenseman in Lacrosse at Chatham High School. I am also just committed to Middlebury College.
). What is your favorite thing about playing on your team and sport and school? Building chemistry with my teammates, especially with guys I’ve known from such a young age. Being able to compete at a high level with the guys in general is my favorite thing and what keeps me going.
). How long have you been training with Robbie? About a year and a half.
). Why do you enjoy training at TCC with Robbie? Robbie has pushed me to points I never thought I could reach; the environment is so great with Robbie as everyone is pushing each other in the gym.
). What are your favorite exercises and why? My favorite exercises are Leg Press and Bench Press as I feel the strongest doing them which makes me feel good.
). What is your least favorite exercises and why? Least favorite is incline goblet squats. Only time I really felt sick working out was doing them so can’t say I enjoy them at all.
). Have you seen any improvements in your strength, agility, speed and confidence to your training? One hundred percent feels like Robbie has allowed me to constantly strive and reach the fullest of my potential. I’m more filled out strength wise and have seen massive improvements in agility which together make me much more confident on the field and in working out.
). What are your goals for this year? Goal is to win everything (State Championship) in Lacrosse.
). What is one of the quotes that you live by and why? “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalms 23:4 I live by this because it grounds me; whenever I feel down or challenged it reminds me that I’m always in God’s hands and can get through anything – so essentially, keep pushing!
