Congratulations Aimee on being selected as The Chatham Club, Member of the Month for February! Tell us a little bit about yourself…
1.) What brought you to The Chatham Club?
In the past, I tended to be a bit of a recluse and a creature of habit when it came to working out, which made it hard to take the leap and join. Once I did, I quickly realized how much I had been missing-especially the social connections, which I now see as incredibly important for so many reasons.
2.) What accomplishments/changes have you made since joining The Chatham Club?
While I have stayed consistent with much of my routine, I have started taking more classes and really see the benefits. I am pushing myself, challenging my body in new ways, and seeing positive changes as a result.
3.) What do you like about the club?
I love the warmth and family-like feeling at the club. Everywhere I go, I run into someone I know, often leading to quick but meaningful conversations that genuinely lift my spirits throughout the day. Additionally, I love my sauna time!!
4) What do you like about the classes that the club offers?
The variety! On any given day I can choose a cardio class, yoga, strength training, or a mix of everything. The instructors are fantastic and do a great job motivating me to push my limits and try something new.
5.) What are your favorite exercises?
I love single leg squats, as they work muscles I just recently started focusing; but they challenge my balance. I do them several times a week.
6.) What are your least favorite exercises?
I have the weakest triceps! So, any triceps exercise!!
7.) What do you like to do outside of the club?
Outside the club, I love playing paddle, especially as the weather gets colder. It keeps me active and outdoors during the winter months, soaking up some much-needed vitamin D, and it is also a great way to stay socially connected while doing something I genuinely enjoy.
8.) Do you have any upcoming goals that you’re currently focusing on?
I am focused on continuing to build strength and maintain consistency as I get older. My goal is to stay active, strong, and injury-free while continuing to challenge myself and try new classes.
