How long have you been a member?
I rejoined the Club in January 2023. I was a member about 15 years ago, but I didn’t integrate myself into the Club life like I did when I rejoined.

What brought you to The Chatham Club?
I was looking for a clean facility close to home that offered something different.

What accomplishments have you seen in yourself since joining?
I have found a great community of people who work and play hard. I look forward to working out at the Club partly because I see my new friends. Seeing others fight through is fun and inspires me to keep moving. Personally, my stamina and endurance have increased tremendously this past year. I can do a 2-hour workout and close it with a 40-minute Squash session. I can stay here all day!!

What do you like most about the Club?
I like the people here – everyone is so friendly, especially Terrie at the front desk – I also greatly appreciate how clean the facility is kept. I enjoy having towels in the locker room. Kudus to the crew that keeps it looking fresh! I also enjoy getting my massages with Reni & Vince at The Center for Relaxation upstairs.

What are your favorite exercises/classes?
I love Frank’s Boot Camp. The music is a highlight, and it’s beginner-friendly- show up, and you’ll see results. I also gained a lot from Carol’s treadmill class in Q4 2023 (it was a great start to my 2024 training goals). Karen’s evening yoga is also a lot of fun; she’s very funny, and you must stop in!

What do you enjoy doing outside of the club?
I like busting through my limitations. When I’m not at the club, I challenge myself in other areas; I am a lector at St. Vincent Martyr Church, as well as a member of the pastoral council. I love living in Madison with my partner Liz and Piper, our 16-year-old Pekinese/Pug mix. I spend most of my days selling, and although I consider myself an introvert, I love the entire sales process- I like to think of myself as a pilot. It’s my duty to get to the destination and overcome any turbulence during the trip.

What are your upcoming goals?
2024 is my year for new challenges. I am 6 weeks into an 18-week training program for a 24-hour race in May with a goal of running 72 plus miles. This is the first time I have ever done an event like this, and I am having a great time pushing beyond my limits during training. I have gone from running 5 to 6 miles a week to 30 plus! I’ll travel to Portugal, Spain, and France on a religious pilgrimage with my Mom this summer. I also accepted a new position as a Fundraiser for the Northern NJ Mount Holyoke College Club – I’m very proud to say I graduated from MHC, and I’m excited to give back to an institution that is a cornerstone in my life! I’ll leave you with this Goggins quote: “Don’t kill them with kindness; torture them with your success!! “
