Athlete of the Month – Morgan Dwyer

 

 

Our Athlete of the Month for September is Morgan Dwyer. A dedicated multi-sport athlete at The Pingry School who plays midfield in field hockey, Morgan shared with us how training with Michael has enhanced her strength and prepared her to achieve even greater goals on the field.

What sport do you play? Where? What position?

I play mid field for field hockey and defense for lacrosse at the Pingry School. I am also committed to Columbia University to play field hockey.

What is your favorite thing about your team, sport or school?

I love the competitiveness of my school where everyone pushes each other to be better. I love my team culture as we value having fun and working hard.

Why do you enjoy training with Michael? How long have you trained with him?

There is great energy in the gym with all of the trainers and athletes. Everyone is very friendly and Mike is always very encouraging and optimistic, I’ve trained with him for a year now.

What are your favorite exercises?

My favorite exercises are the Reverse Hyper and Cable Pulldowns.

What are your least favorite exercises?

My least favorite exercises are the land mine squats thrusters and the power runner.

Have you seen any improvements in strength/agility/speed thanks to your training?

I have definitely seen a lot of improvements in my strength. I feel a lot more stable and strong which has helped a lot with field hockey

What are some of your upcoming goals?

I would like to get a quicker step and to get a lot faster.
