Athlete of the Month – Emmy Chazen
Our Athlete of the Month for August is Emmy Chazen. Emmy has been working with Robbie in our Sports Performance Training program at The Chatham Club for 3 years, and in that time she has seen a difference in her game under the guidance of Robbie to improve strength, speed and change of direction!
What sport do you play? Where? What position?
I played field hockey and lacrosse for Chatham High School. I am continuing to play field hockey at Dickinson College next year. I play midfield/defense.
What is your favorite thing about your team, sport or school?
My favorite thing about field hockey is the people I have met and how much I love being a part of a team!
Why do you enjoy training with Robbie? How long have you trained with him?
I enjoy training with Robbie because he is always pushing me to be better, stronger, and confident in a really positive environment. I love when he comes to cheer us on at our games and how much he supports his athletes! I have been training with Robbie for about 3 years!
What are your favorite exercises?
My favorite exercises are deadlifts and single leg squats.
What are your least favorite exercises?
My least favorite is skull crushers.
Have you seen any improvements in strength/agility/speed thanks to your training?
Definitely. Thanks to Robbie, I have improved my speed, strength and change of direction. I can feel it on the field and in my play.
What are some of your upcoming goals?
I’d like to continue building on my strength and speed in college and translate onto the field this fall.
Thank you, Emmy! We look forward to cheering you on at Dickinson next year!
