Athlete of the Month – Alexandra Donoghue

Our Athlete of the Month for November is Alexandra Donoghue. A dedicated two-sport athlete at Chatham High School, Alexandra shared with us how training with Robbie has helped improve her strength in a measured way where she can see the results on and off the field!

What sport do you play? Where? What position?

I play soccer for Chatham High School and Cedar Stars Academy. I am center midfield. I also play Ice Hockey for Chatham High School.

What is your favorite thing about your team, sport or school?

My favorite thing about my sport is the competitive nature and how anything can happen on any given day. This forces you to always be at your best. I also have great teammates that push each other to be the best they can be on and off the field.

Why do you enjoy training with Robbie? How long have you trained with him?

I enjoy training at TCC because the other girls and Robbie make it a very fun atmosphere while you are also bettering yourself. I have been training with Robbie for 3 years.

What are your favorite exercises?

My favorite exercises are barbell bench press and squats. I like these exercises because it helps to give you an overall gauge of your strength and the improvements you are making overtime.

What are your least favorite exercises?

My least favorite exercises are box step ups and Bulgarian split squats. These exercises are always dreadful despite their effectiveness.

Have you seen any improvements in strength/agility/speed thanks to your training?

I have definitely seen improvements in my training because of Robbie, specifically in my strength.

What are some of your upcoming goals?

My goals are to continue to get stronger and faster to be ready for the upcoming soccer season.

Thank you, Alexandra! We look forward to cheering you on at CHS next year!
